About Jacqui Genow.

People say I am obsessively passionate about branding.

When I was younger I studied acting. Then I became a woodworker and started a business crafting display boxes. But for me, it wasn't about reciting the same lines over and over or making the same box over and over.

What I liked was delving into a character to see what made her tick. I liked the spark that comes from putting pencil to paper and then figuring out how to build it.

I liked the puzzle.

Developing a brand strategy is like putting together a puzzle. Gathering the different pieces – perception, positioning, message, goals, and customer experience – and figuring out how to fit them together in a way that creates a clear picture.

Branding is where I found my passion. It’s where my curiosity, creativity, and strategic thinking all come together to solve the puzzle of how businesses are understood.

My career has taken me through every side of marketing.

Starting as a Media Planner at global ad agencies including Grey and DDB, my path took an unexpected turn into entrepreneurship. Launching my own woodworking business gave me the hands-on experience of turning an idea into reality and then bringing it to the marketplace. Later, as a Marketing Director, I created corporate and project brand identities, developed integrated marketing strategies, and led the day-to-day marketing execution in a wide range of industries.

Now, as a Brand & Business Strategist, I work with global, mid-sized, and small businesses finding the disconnects, organizing the complexity, and helping them communicate who they are in a way people can understand, believe, and trust.
